'skills at home' challenges

The purpose of the Skills at Home Challenge Series is to promote
the development and practice of skills to youth in the NWT.

Our goal is to provide some fun and engaging activities for students from across the Northwest Territories to participate in from home.

cardboard model house challenge

This challenge can be as simple or as difficult as you wish to make it. It will require participants to build a cardboard model house and submit up to six photos to Skills Canada NWT online.  The cardboard model house must be built during the two weeks of the challenge.

CHALLENGE CRITERIA

 

PARTICIPATION

Students can participate in this challenge individually or in teams of up to 2.

 

AGE

  • There is no minimum age to participate in this challenge. 

  • Students must be under 18 years of age to participate

 

CARDBOARD MODEL HOUSE SUBMISSIONS

All houses built for this challenge must be built during the two weeks of the challenge. 

Participants are encouraged to be creative and decorate their houses (suggestion: use recycled wrapping paper for walls, magazine cut-outs for artwork, etc)

All photos must be submitted in .jpg or .png file format.

 

CONTENT

Participants are asked to refrain from using any inappropriate content in their submissions.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: Monday, January 23rd, 2023 at 5:00 PM Mountain Time.
