What are they?

Traditionally, our Power Up! Career Exploration Workshops offered students in Yellowknife and the surrounding area an opportunity to take part in hands-on, on-location workshops in a variety of trade and technology areas. These opportunities are made possible by the generosity and contribution of volunteers, individuals, organizations and institutions.

Organizations and institutions throughout the Northwest Territories are invited to take part and host these workshops. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and public health recommendations, we are offering some alternatives and options for organizations who want to get involved and take part.

How can I get involved?

In-person Workshop

You are able to host an in-person workshop with a small group of students, and provide them with a hands-on opportunity.
Virtual Episode

We will come into your workspace and help you film and record a short “Day-In-The-Life” video episode to post on our website. (See our Baking and Cooking episodes towards the bottom of this page for inspiration.)
Interview

We can either do a short recorded interview to post on our website, or share a written interview.
