On February 24th, 2012, Inuvik will host the fourth annual NWT-North Regional Skills Competition at Samuel Hearne Secondary School.
The competition is open to students in grades 9-12 in any Beaufort Delta or Sahtu school.

Skills Canada NWT offers Regional Competitions to NWT youth as an opportunity to compete against each other in a fair and fun environment. These one-day Olympic-style competitions are designed for young northerners to test their skills in a trade they have been learning. Students should have experience in their chosen contest but are not expected to be experts at this level. Medal winners in most contest areas may be eligible to adcance to the Territorial Skills Competition in Yellowknife on Tuesday, April 17th, 2012.
